Welcome to Rent A Service (www.rentaservices.com), an online service marketplace that connects individuals and businesses seeking services ("Service Renters") with verified third-party service providers ("Service Providers").

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Platform and constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rent A Service Technologies Ltd.

By accessing or using this Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Platform Role & Marketplace Nature

Rent A Service operates strictly as a digital marketplace. We do not provide services directly and do not employ Service Providers. All service agreements are entered into solely between Service Renters and Service Providers.

2. Vendor Onboarding & Account Registration

All Service Providers must create an account and complete the vendor onboarding process before listing or offering services.

• Submission of accurate personal or business information
• Phone number and email verification
• Service category selection and profile completion
• Acceptance of platform policies and pricing rules

Rent A Service reserves the right to approve, suspend, or reject any vendor account at its discretion.

3. KYC & Vendor Verification

To comply with financial regulations and platform safety standards, we collect Know Your Customer (KYC) information from vendors, which may include:

• Full legal name
• Phone number and email address
• Government-issued identification (NIN, Driver’s License, or International Passport)
• Business registration details (where applicable)
• Bank account details for payouts

4. Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)

For higher-risk vendors, high-value transactions, or regulatory requirements, Rent A Service conducts Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), which may include:

• Manual review of submitted KYC documents
• Service history and transaction behavior monitoring
• Request for additional documentation or clarification
• Temporary account restrictions during investigations

5. Payments, Escrow & Commissions

• All payments are processed securely via Paystack
• Funds are held in escrow until service completion is confirmed
• Service Providers receive payment only after approval
• Rent A Service charges a platform commission per transaction

6. Acceptable Use Policy

Users must not use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or prohibited activities, including but not limited to:

• Illegal or restricted services
• Financial fraud, money laundering, or impersonation
• Off-platform payment circumvention
• Harassment, abuse, or harmful conduct
• Uploading false, misleading, or stolen content

Violation of this policy may result in account suspension, termination, or reporting to authorities.

7. Dispute Resolution & Customer Protection

Rent A Service provides an internal dispute resolution mechanism to protect both renters and providers.

• Disputes are reported via the platform dashboard
• Escrow funds may be temporarily withheld during review
• Evidence from both parties is evaluated
• Final decisions are made in line with platform policies

8. Limitation of Liability

Rent A Service shall not be liable for the actions, omissions, or service quality of Service Providers.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
